The Head Injury Society of New Zealand was established in 1981 to raise head injury issues at a national level, to increase understanding and recognition and to help address the needs of those who have suffered a head injury and their families.

The work of the Society is undertaken by volunteers.

Membership of the Society is open to all who would like to support its work and includes head injured people, family members and professionals. We suggest that if you wish to become a member and support the Society you join one of our affiliate organisations.
